St. Albans Lofts is a new apartment community in Raleigh's North Hills Innovation District, designed for those who crave the energy and convenience of city living while being steps away from the outdoors. Located along the walkable greenway on Big Branch Creek and surrounded by local shops and makers, St. Albans Lofts brings the best of the city to your doorstep while making sure you can hit the trailhead whenever you like.
Our branding work for St. Albans Lofts spans logo design, marketing and social media campaigns, out-of-home, photography and website direction. All of the visuals are inspired by the juxtaposition of the building itself. We layered modern, edgy photography of city life and interiors against raw, textural imagery of the natural landscape along Big Branch Creek.
The typography balances a modern, digital inspired typeface with approachable editorial serifs. The photography feels analog and casual while the graphics and layouts feel technical. Details such as the latitude and longitude coordinates are inspired by the gear and tech used in hiking and navigation. The result is a system that feels as stacked and layered as the community it represents. Urban yet organic, edgy yet approachable, technical yet authentic.
